Treasure Valley Search Dogs, formed in January of 2002, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit** organization. TVSD is a volunteer search and rescue organization on call 24 hours a day to assist law enforcement and other emergency service agencies in locating lost or missing persons. We are committed to training and education in order to provide qualified dogs and handlers to the community. We are the go to source for PROVEN and RELIABLE K9 SAR teams in the area. (NOTE: We are currently in the process of reapplying for our 501(c)(3) non-profit status).

March 2012: Chris and Annwn passed their first NAPWDA Cadaver Certification! They did an excellent job on both that and their Obedience test!!

March 2012: Paula and Ziva passed their NAPWDA recertification in Cadaver and Obedience.

June 2011: Paula and Chris attend NAPWDA training with Ziva and Annwn. Both K9s did very well!

In April 2011, Ziva goes on her first search and found her first person bringing closure to a local family. Good Girl Ziva!!!

In April 2011, Paula and Ziva attended a week of training in El Paso, TX with the US Border Patrol.

In June 2011, Paula and Ziva along with Chris and Annwn will attend NAPWDA training in Blackfoot, ID.

The specific purposes of the TVSD organization are:

• To furnish highly trained volunteer teams of dogs and dog handlers for search and rescue work for the benefit and welfare of the community.
• To organize and support the continuing education and training of dogs, dog handlers, and support personnel in accepted search and rescue methods.
• To increase public awareness of search and rescue trained dogs by providing informational and educational programs and demonstrations to institutions, agencies, and community organizations
