Treasure Valley Search Dogs, formed in January of 2002, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. TVSD is a volunteer search and rescue organization on call 24 hours a day to assist law enforcement and other emergency service agencies in locating lost or missing persons. We are committed to training and education in order to provide qualified dogs and handlers to the community.

TVSD is excited to announce our first annual fundraiser with THE MAGIC OF JAY OWENHOUSE!!!! (www.jayowenhouse.com). Jay is a world renowned magician. Check out his site to see what critics are saying about his show. He's SPECTACULAR and his show is the perfect family outing! Please join us Friday, June 12th to enjoy a night of magic and help us raise funds to put towards keeping our K9 teams highly trained and certified in order to help others. Judd and K9 Zora, Susan and K9 Cinder, Ann and K9 Watson and Paula and K9s Jeb, Suzie and Jack attended the NAPWDA (North American Police Work Dog Assoc -- www.napwda.com) Western States Workshop in August 2008. Everyone passed their certifications!! (see "About Us" for more info) Congratulations Everyone!!!!

The specific purposes of the TVSD organization are:

• To furnish highly trained volunteer teams of dogs and dog handlers for search and rescue work for the benefit and welfare of the community.
• To organize and support the continuing education and training of dogs, dog handlers, and support personnel in accepted search and rescue methods.
• To increase public awareness of search and rescue trained dogs by providing informational and educational programs and demonstrations to institutions, agencies, and community organizations
